30 Plants a Week Tracker for Gut Microbiome Diversity
Eating 30 different plants a week is one of the strongest dietary predictors of a diverse gut microbiome. In the 2018 American Gut Project, people who ate 30+ types of plants per week had significantly more diverse gut bacteria than those who ate 10 or fewer. This free tracker counts your weekly plant points across six food groups — vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts & seeds, and herbs & spices.
What counts as a plant point?
Each different plant scores one point per week — eat broccoli three times and it still counts once. Herbs and spices count as a quarter point. The weekly target is 30 plants, with a stretch goal of 35.
How the tracker works
- Tick off plants each week and watch your plant-points score climb toward 30.
- Set weekly goals and track your week-on-week progress, streaks, and "eat the rainbow" variety.
- Works offline (local-first) and syncs across devices with a passwordless magic link — free, no ads.
